New designs for Fall

It’s that time of year again when summer gives way to fall, and the change in seasons forces us to refocus and regroup. I’ve had an amazing summer and am now ready to get back into the studio and back to work on some new designs. Being that it’s fall I’m also starting to get things in order for the One of a Kind Christmas Show, taking place from Nov. 25 to Dec.5. Each time I do the show I like to bring something new to freshen up the collection. As of right now I have a couple of new pillows set to grace my booth, or as I like to refer to it, my temporary living room for 11 days. I have some new Peace pillows that I’ve created using a new brush-on technique resulting in a tie dye effect and I’m really happy with the results.

I’ve also started making some Initial pillows. I was inspired to start making these when my cousin had a baby. I knew I wanted to make him a personalized gift and since I make pillows, it seemed pretty logical to make him one with his first initial, “J”.

I figured it was something for mom and baby as well as something he wouldn’t grow out of; plus, who doesn’t like to have something personalized! The Initial prints will be available in both pillows and wall hangings as are all designs, and in a rainbow of colours.

Spring is in the air!

Spring is finally upon us and there are many exciting things happening at Rock My Soul. The One of a Kind Spring Show is just days away and I’m thrilled that our Peace and Life Cycle pillows are featured in the ad campaign for the show including the official gift guide! Also, our Sunburst pillow was just featured in an article relating to the show in this past Saturday’s National Post! On the design front I’ve been working on some new henna inspired designs that I will be showcasing for the first time at the Spring Show. These new pillows combine traditional henna designs with the modern pop of bright fluorescent colours and I’m really excited about them! The next few days are sure to be super busy as I tend to last minute preparations and start moving into my booth. I’m anticipating a great show and hope that you’ll all come out and stop by our booth (O-33) to say hello!

Best wishes for the Holidays!

It’s been a week since my first experience at the One of a Kind Show came to an end. It was great to exhibit my work alongside so many other talented artisans and to meet so many nice people. It was really rewarding to see all of my hard work over the past few months come together as I set up my booth and greeted everyone who came in to check us out. A big thank you to everyone who came out to the show and came by the booth.

I’m very excited about where Rock My Soul is headed in the new year and I look forward to sharing everything with you. I wish all of you a very Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and hope that you’ll continue to check in with us and stay tuned for some new designs to come in the new year!

Rock My Soul Launch!

After many months of hard work, Rock My Soul is up and running! I’m so excited to finally share my designs with you. I hope that you’ll love them as much as I’ve enjoyed creating them. A lot of love and care went into each piece, from the first sketch to the final product, made using organic materials. Our goal is to create beautiful designs with the health of our planet in mind.

There are so many great things happening at Rock My Soul . Our website is in action and ready for you to browse; you can check out images of our products and find out a little more about us. Up next on the horizon, we will be exhibiting at the One of a Kind craft show taking place from November 26th to December 6th at the Direct Energy Center, Exhibition Place, Toronto. We’ll be at booth H10 for the duration of the show and we have lots of great pieces for sale. So come by, check us out, and say hello.
